Bonfire night – Time to get the sparklers out and till your head back

November 1, 2017

The clocks will be going back, the nights getting darker and the temperatures starting to drop, but at least that means Bonfire Night is on its way and Christmas of course (but we won’t talk about that yet).

At Nottingham Cars we are very fond of bonfire night as were sure a lot of you out there are as well but why worry about getting to and from your spectacular event when we can do it for you.

Whether you’re going on the Friday the Saturday or the official day the Sunday, there’s an event with bright lights and explosions and let’s not forgot those toffee apples and the ever so tempting break your teeth bonfire toffee for you to enjoy in Nottingham.

On Friday the 3th – Keworth Rugby Club

The bonfire and fireworks are back again for another year at the Keyworth Rugby Club in Widmerpool.

Gates will open at 6:30pm and the lighting of the fire will start at 6:45 with the fireworks following later at 7:30pm.

Usual refreshments will be available such as hot dogs, burgers, mushy peas and hot and cold drinks.

Entry will be £4 while under 5’s get in free and there will a designated area for people to use their own sparklers they have brought from home.

On Saturday the 4th – Nottingham Castle

On the 4th My Sights will be holding their annual charity fire walk and fireworks display at the Nottingham Castle.

That’s right there will be people fire walking on the night as well as great live music, fire performers,  lovely food and drink provided by the Castle Rock Brewery Bar and not to be forgotten a fabulous fireworks display,  all in the surrounds of Nottingham’s iconic castle.

Entry begins at 7pm and tickets start at £10

On Sunday the 5th – Forest Recreation Ground

The absolutely brilliant Forest Fields Firework Displays returns once again on the actual fireworks night, and again all for free, though will have to pay for any of the great rides they have or any of the delicious food on offer.

It is family friendly so all families are welcome, but if you are planning taking any small children please be aware that it is a very popular event and can get very busy at times.
