We’re now in the midst of the summer holidays for kids and it’s likely that some are getting bored already, particularly now that it has started to rain. Often forgotten by the people who have lived in Nottingham their entire life, this museum holds a big part of Nottingham’s history. While the beauty of the windmill is probably best seen on a beautiful summer’s day, the museum does hold some regularly changing events which are guaranteed to keep the kids quiet. The Lost City Adventure Golf, The Cornerhouse Open Monday to Sunday 10.30am – 11pm, prices vary according to 18 hole or 36 hole courses An ideal activity for all the family whatever your age, this brings something competitive to the school holidays. Situated in the heart of Nottingham, the activity offers two different courses which are completely landscaped and promotes the experience of playing amid a thunder and lightning storm without having to get wet. All putters and colour coded balls are provided. There’s also a bar indoors which offers the opportunity for refreshments after a long-lasting game. No need to book.

Pot N’ Kettle, Beeston Open Monday – Saturday 10am – 4pm, (during school holidays) Prices depend on the products you choose. Children and their parents are likely to have fun here putting their creativities to good use. Located a short drive from Nottingham city centre and easily accessible with one of our pre-booked taxis, visitors are encouraged to create a memorable masterpiece by designing and painting a pot of their choosing. It is likely that younger children will be kept occupied for hours here. You can then take your creative pieces home and furnish your home. The Arts Centre is home to everything from Music through to Art exhibitions and theatre so be sure to check out their programme of events. The Arts Investigators scheme is perfect to help 7 – 12 year olds gain a better understanding of art. Activity bags are available from one of the gallery’s which include an etch a sketch, magnifying glass, paper, scissors, pencil and activity sheet which encourage children to ask questions about the art exhibited at the centre.
