How to get a Licence
Please note that following the receipt of an initial application it can take 6 to 8 weeks to complete the process.
To obtain a badge from most councils you will need:
- The support of an operator (Nottingham Cars)
- A DVLA mandate form
- Held driving license for at least 12 months and age over 18
- A medical certificate
- Three recent passport size photographs
- Good knowledge of Nottingham by passing a driving test and topography test
- An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS)
- Two people you have known for a minimum of 5 years which of whom must not include relatives or someone in the taxi industry
